The other modern TECO implementations

To give due credit to the other modern TECO implementations, here’s a list of them. These are only more or less maintained implementations, that will compile on modern operating systems.

• Franklin P. Johnston’s TECO-64: This is compatible with TECOC, but written from scratch. Probably the most advanced of the “classic” DEC-style TECOs.
• Blake McBride’s TECOC fork: Probably the most up-to-date incarnation of TECOC by Pete Siemsen, based on prior work by Tom Almy.
• Andy Valencia’s fork of TECO for Ultrix by Matt Fichtenbaum
• Tim E. Sneddon’s port of TECO-32. This is a true descendant of DEC TECO.
• Robin Haberkorn’s Video TECO fork: Based on the original upload of Video TECO by Paul Cantrell, this evolved farther from the DEC-style TECOs and works more like an interactive editor. This was the original inspiration for SciTECO and is largely obsoleted by it. I will still keep it compiling, though.
